For their second collaboration, LOOP Barcelona and CASA SEAT get together to present the premiere of blanca arias’ performance, exploring the online and offline body. <br />

hay una mujer que vive en mi habitación [There’s A Woman that Lives In My Bedroom’] is a performative conference that explores some of the infinite landscapes of intimacy that arise between the online and offline body. Using paranoia as her method, blanca arias constructs a self-historical narrative that places her before her own research in an almost medium-like position, conceiving her voice as a vehicle to bring forth a series of critical, psychic, mythical and supernatural experiences that manifest through her sentient corporality. Its purpose is to create a cartography of textual and visual images through a lesbo-feminist gaze which, beyond allowing us to delve into the artist’s cosmos, invites us to reflect on questions such as the materiality of that which is digital, new affective horizons, or the possible links between interconnectivity and interdependence.

blanca arias

blanca arias (ella/elle) is an artist, researcher, witch and lesbian, committed to love and critique. Born in Barcelona in 1998 under the sign of scorpio, she feels especially responsible for the creation of creative networks for worlds that can be experienced more fully by all bodies. Some of her recurring lines of work are the exploration of femininity as resistance, her link with vulnerability, myth as a point for flight and intimacy, or anti-normative knowledge circuits with regards to witchery. She graduated in Art History from the University of Barcelona and is currently studying a Master’s Degree in Comparative Literature, Art and Thought at Pompeu Fabra University.
