A round table gathering different profiles related to the audiovisual arts to discuss the question “is it possible to establish a return of audiovisual production towards the society, and which strategies or systems exists currently?”. As introduction to the debate a fragment of “La Asamblea 2.0” a work by Miquel Garcia will be shown, where through a participatory system he conducted an Assembly of Educators, Curators, Artists, and cultural Programmers to debate about artistic local production.

Miquel García

Artist, graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona, completing part his studies at The Cooper Union (New York). During his career he has been in residency at: El Ranchito (Matadero, Madrid), La Casa das Caldeiras (São Paulo), Dare Dare (Montreal), Chang Dong Art Studio in Seoul (Unesco- Auschberg grant). In Axeneo7 (Quebec), in MCO arte, Oporto and at Hangar, Barcelona. In 2006, he had a solo-show in Medellín, Colombia. His works have been presented in numerous group shows at Georges Pompidou Museum ( Paris) Galeria Vermelho (São Paulo) Sala d’Art Jove (Barcelona) Casino, Luxembourg, Stampa, in the biennials of Turku (Finland), Vic, Zamora and Albiac (Spain), at the LOOP Festival and accompanied travelling exhibitions in San Francisco, London, Berlin, Munich, Paris, Milan. In 2001 he represented Barcelona in the Biennial of Young European and Mediterranean Artists in Sarajevo and was awarded with the Carta Blance in 2003. Currently he completes his studies with a Master in Research and Production at the University of Barcelona.

Filmmaker, cultural programmer and architect.
Member of the collective Panorama180 and organizator of BccN Barcelona Creative Commons Film Festival, CCMad Madrid Free Cutture Festival and coordinator of the International net of festivals CCWorld, projects established as a global space for cinema and free culture, working around new narratives derived from network approach toward a commons and free culture.
Cofounder of Cosmopolilla prod. he has realized “Marquise”, the serial webdoc “Fisherman’s House: Barceloneta” or the the webdoc “Parkcelona”. His work has been exhibited in Festivals such Alcances or DocsBarcelona in Spain, CineB in Chile, Atlanticdoc in Uruguay or AFF Rotterdam.
Current member of the commitee for monitoring municipal policies of cinema and audiovisuals, he is also teacher of the Master’s degree of Transmedia Production UAB Universitat Autónoma de Bellaterra and visiting professor of Blanquerna, ECIB or CEU UAO.

Olivier Collet

Artistic Director at Joan Prats Gallery and Founder of Homesession. His practice as a curator was initiated by expositive experimentations and residences organized from a domestic environment. The creative process and the close connection to the community define his artistic approach towards contemporary artistic practice. Based in Barcelona since 2002, Olivier Collet continuously experiments with new strategies of the production and presentation of visual art projects and invites international artists to converse and discuss the Barcelonan artistic scene. His special interest is artistic practices mobilizing collective energies in the form of performances and installations.

Xefo Guasch, multifaceted artist who studied and worked in different diciplines: architecture, photography, video, theater, painting and sculpture. From the realism of his education as an architect, his work as photographer and press or video director in advertising and community projects, changed into an abstract artistic approache through painting and sculpture. He is the founder of Chez Xefo Gallery, an unusual Gallery with eclectic nature, dedicated to art and artists, the public art lovers and collectors.

Cloe Masotta

Cloe Masotta is a teacher, film and modern art critic, curator and art mediator. She holds a Ph.D in communications from Pompeu Fabra university, where she also obtained her degrees in the humanities and audio-visual communications, as well as her master’s degree in film studies and contemporary audio-visuals and her master’s degree in modern art theory and criticism in the context of the independent studies programme of the Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA). She has recently published the books Cuerpos exquisitos. Identidades y deseo en el archivo Xcèntric (CCCB) and Tendremos que encontrar un lugar donde encontrarnos (La Caníbal edicions and Barcelona Producció 2020).
