The renowned anarchist teacher Count Ervin Batthyány reappears 100 years after his death. He tries to put his theories into practice again, as he realises that the world has not turned out as he’d expected. There is no Utopia, free of rulers. He founds a new free school with the help of some like-minded people, and starts teaching a new generation who believe in solidarity and cooperation, rather than a system of oppression.

Kornél Szilágyi (1971) and Nándor Hevesi (1974) have been working together under the pseudonym of Igor and Ivan Buharov since 1994. After their Visual Communication and Intermedia studies, they both have attended the Doctor of Liberal Arts program at The Hungarian University of Fine Arts.
Their careers in experimental film started out in line with the intermedial tendencies that arose in the restructured cultural institutional system after the political change in the early 1990s. The Buharovs have since developed a unique artistic practice, and have become defining figures of the Hungarian contemporary visual art, music, and film scenes.
They have received numerous film awards (e.g. Semana de Cine Experimental de Madrid, Hungarian Independent Film Festival, Milano Film Festival, Mediawave Film Festival), and have attended several international residency programs (e.g. Transit Artist in Residency, the MQ Vienna, and the Künstlerhaus Bethanien). The duo exhibited, among others, at the Manifesta 8 (2010), the Kyiv Biennal (2015), the documenta 14 (2017), and the Biennale Warsawa (2019).
Their medially varied activity oscillates on the border of film, fine art, music, and performance, such as their feature film, Most of the souls that live here (2016) and their latest performative project entitled Eternal Intentionfield Tuning (2018), incorporating live music, exhibition and performance as well.

Acb Gallery was founded in 2003 to represent contemporary and Hungarian neoavant- garde art, both on the Hungarian and the international scene. Until 2009, the gallery’s program was focusing on the artistic practice of the generation that emerged in the 1990s in Hungary and mostly worked with non-traditional media. With a new management, the gallery has been extending its portfolio since 2009 with neo-avant-garde, emerging and international artists and has been positioning itself on the international art scene.
In 2013, acb opened its second exhibition space named acb Attachment, followed by a third space between 2016 and 2019i. In 2015 the gallery launched acb ResearchLab, a non-profit institute that focuses on the research and publication of Hungarian neo-avant-garde and post-avant-garde oeuvres. Throughout its research and wide exhibition activity, acb has played a key role in extending knowledge of the 1960s’ and 1970s’ Hungarian art, as well as in reviewing and completing the existing canon.
