Founded in 2012, alexander levy has established itself as a platform for both national and international artists. In 2022, marking its tenth anniversary, the gallery moved from Kreuzberg to a new space in Moabit, Berlin. The larger location allowed for expanded exhibition formats and the creation of a permanent video room, which hosts a parallel program including guest artists.
The gallery focuses on conceptual practices that challenge perception, examine social structures, and engage with scientific and political themes. Exhibitions are developed in close collaboration with artists, often involving long-term, research-based projects that transform the gallery space itself.
