How can art organisations and events respond to the progressive digitization of culture? Has the pandemic contributed to reducing the distance between art and technology? And what challenges do new technologies pose for artistic creation and its modes of presentation, circulation and consumption? This conversation aimed at analysing the intersections between art and technology in the collecting and cultural management sector, through the participation of two key professionals at the forefront of pioneering projects in Spain that are committed to supporting new forms of artistic experience.
Oscar Hormigos has a degree in Communication Sciences from the UCM. He was a founding partner and CEO of the pioneer agency in interactive marketing Wysiwyg, with which he won several awards (Cannes, San Sebastián, New York). He also founded and led the general management of the interactive communication agency Zentropy. He is the founder of the startups Wake App! and The App Date. Currently, he is the general manager of Onkaos, a project of the SOLO Collection (Madrid) that promotes artistic creation through new technologies. Onkaos works as a platform that helps artists who work with new technologies in conceptualization, work production, legal aid, certification, digital preservation, marketing and commercialization strategy, among others. SOLO Collection is a project that promotes the accompaniment and dissemination of the international contemporary art scene created by Ana Gervás and David Cantolla.

Jordi Sellas is a Catalan cultural manager, current director of IDEAL, the Center d’Arts Digitals de Barcelona and executive director of the magazine El món d’ahir. He graduated in Communication Sciences (Advertising and Public Relations) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He has specialized in the management of cultural organisations. He has been, among other positions, marketing director of the Focus Group, where he created the Tr3sC Culture Club; director of the New Business department of the RBA Group; creator, director and presenter for a decade of the radio and television program Digital Generation, and general director of Creation and Cultural Enterprises of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya between 2013 and 2016.
